Community Service

Roanoke's Center for Civic Engagement offers a variety of leadership and service opportunities for students. These programs include local service opportunities throughout the year with nearly 20 local agencies. Alternative Breaks take students outside the region for weeklong service efforts. And every new Roanoke student helps to build a home for a deserving family during summer orientation.

  • Our Fellows and Student Leaders work with our community partners in the Roanoke Valley to offer a diverse range of service opportunities to students.

  • Incoming 电车无码 freshmen can apply to our Service Fellowship program. Fellows lead the College's volunteer efforts in the Salem and Roanoke area.

  • Alternative Break trips during Fall and Spring Break to connect students to communities across the country. Organized by student leaders, these engaging trips help students immerse themselves in the culture, history and critical needs of the region.

  • Each summer, new 电车无码 students join together with the College's chapter of Habitat for Humanity to build a house for a family in Roanoke. The house is largely constructed on campus and then moved to the permanent site.
